Assistant General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist with export controls and trade compliance, encompassing DDTC registration, CFIUS, classification analyses, license assistance, and technology control plans.

• Deliver clear and actionable legal advice on export controls, procurement regulations, compliance matters, and related legal issues to align with corporate objectives.

• Analyze, draft, and negotiate government contracts, proposals, and FAR/DFARS flow-down clauses.

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including partnerships and licensing arrangements.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, templates, and training programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Significant and relevant legal experience, particularly in export controls, international trade, government contracts, or regulatory compliance.

• Practical knowledge of ITAR and familiarity with FAR; eagerness to expand expertise.

• Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills, combined with a practical, business-focused mindset.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to engage directly with senior leadership in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.

• This role necessitates access to export-controlled information; therefore, applicants must qualify as a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR (22 C.F.R. § 120.62), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain protected individuals.
