Assistant Editor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Kevin Longa throughout the entire film and video editing process.

• Create and deliver both rough and final draft edits of documentary films.

• Enhance existing edits by incorporating music and additional footage.

• Develop and finalize the storylines for documentary projects.

• Organize and provide Premiere Pro project files.

• Engage in one-on-one sessions with Kevin Longa.

• Learn to navigate music licensing libraries effectively.

• Assemble edits using dailies, music, and footage.

• Conduct quality control on both incoming and outgoing assets.

• Generate and distribute Adobe Premiere Pro project files.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

• Recent graduate within the last 10 years.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

• Capable of identifying and resolving technical issues.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable NLE program.

• Willingness to learn and grow.

• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities.

• Competence in editing to music and rhythm.
