Assistant Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Preparation of a variety of working papers

• Oversight and review of the complete accounting cycle

• Engagement in various ad hoc projects tailored to individual clients

• Responsibility for specific client files across diverse industries such as e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, mining, and biotechnology

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

• Experience in assurance at a public accounting firm

• Strong relationship-building skills - able to maintain professional rapport with clients and team members through open and effective communication

• Pride in ensuring accuracy; discrepancies in account balances are particularly frustrating and you take pleasure in resolving complex issues

• Exceptionally organized

• Committed to the team while fostering a relaxed work atmosphere

• Ability to thrive under deadline pressure

• Interest in diverse tasks and a dynamic work environment

• Technologically proficient

• Capable of multitasking and managing various responsibilities simultaneously

• Passionate about improving processes and challenging the status quo

• Extremely detail-oriented and meticulous, to the extent that it may be perceived as overly meticulous by some
