This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Leading a comprehensive overhaul of the accounting function through automation, transforming processes to significantly improve efficiency, accuracy, and the speed of financial reporting while substantially decreasing manual workload across the team.
• Managing all facets of global accounting, from financial management to internal controls, promoting ongoing enhancements.
• Initiating efforts to increase operational efficiency, with a focus on workflow design and process optimization.
• Cultivating and empowering the accounting team, aligning resources with business requirements and nurturing a culture of excellence and growth.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within financial processes and systems to maximize efficiency and data integrity.
• Implementing standardized operating procedures and overseeing critical system integrations (NetSuite, Salesforce, Deel, Payhawk) to ensure seamless data flow.
• Guaranteeing the ERP system complies with all regional statutory and regulatory requirements through meticulous configuration and localization.
• Over 7 years of experience in accounting and/or audit, demonstrating a strong passion for process enhancement.
• More than 2 years of experience with NetSuite or other Oracle ERP products.
• Background in an international setting, collaborating with a group of companies and overseeing work conducted by local business partners and/or service providers across various jurisdictions.
• Solid understanding of finance business processes and requirements, encompassing key areas of accounting (GL/AR/AP), fixed assets, consolidation, period close processes, and financial reporting, including IFRS.
• Previous experience in the SaaS industry.
• Capability to independently resolve operational challenges.
• Experience with the cloud ERP system NetSuite is considered advantageous.
• A proactive nature with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and personal accountability.
• A professional qualification such as ACCA, AAT, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or similar is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in English is required.
