Assistant Chief NWQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Chief NWQL in managing the daily operations of the NWQL department, including staff, resources, and project oversight.

• Collaborate with the Chief NWQL to formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the NWQL department.

• Ensure all projects are finalized within designated timelines and budgets.

• Conduct regular staff performance evaluations, providing necessary feedback and coaching.

• Monitor and uphold quality control standards to guarantee accurate and reliable results.

• Build and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Offer technical support and guidance on laboratory procedures and methods to staff.

• Stay informed on industry advancements and suggest modifications to improve processes and procedures.

• Assist in creating and implementing training programs for staff development.

• Prepare and deliver reports on the NWQL department's performance to senior management.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as safety and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a laboratory environment.

• In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, methods, and equipment.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

• Capability to work independently and remotely while effectively collaborating with a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.

• Experience with quality control and assurance processes.

• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to laboratory operations.

• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
