This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report to the Accounts Payable Manager.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of approximately 15 to 20 associates in a dynamic Shared Services environment.
• Create and implement onboarding, process training, and continuous development programs.
• Track individual and team performance, providing feedback, recognition, and corrective measures.
• Assist with workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution.
• Supervise daily Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing and payment execution.
• Manage departmental workflow to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
• Analyze processing volumes and performance trends to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Address escalated Accounts Payable issues impacting suppliers, operations, and internal stakeholders.
• Offer hands-on support for invoice processing during peak periods or critical business times.
• Develop and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and performance reports.
• Examine data to uncover trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Formulate action plans and present performance updates to leadership and business partners.
• Collaborate with suppliers, operations teams, finance staff, and internal partners.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance processes and support organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to SOX requirements and company policies.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Identify control weaknesses and enact corrective actions.
• Provide expertise in Accounts Payable matters.
• Manage complex three-way match discrepancies along with related invoice, payment, procurement, and receiving challenges.
• Prepare communications, training materials, operational updates, and presentations.
• Conduct meetings with associates, leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent, with a minimum of 4-6 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• At least 2-3 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable or Shared Services setting.
• Strong grasp of Accounts Payable processes, controls, and best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Accounts Payable operations, including the resolution of three-way match discrepancies.
• Comprehensive understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to analyze operational metrics and apply performance enhancement strategies.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems and Accounts Payable automation platforms is preferred.
• Willingness to work East Coast or Central hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
