Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Oversee the South Korea territory while promoting NORIT products, achieving targeted revenue, volume, margins, and customer outstanding days.

• Create forecasts for volume and revenue, along with sales plans and strategies to meet desired outcomes.

• Enhance both current and future value for NORIT by cultivating a comprehensive understanding of each customer and overall portfolio profitability, emphasizing areas where NORIT can stand out in customer interactions.

• Skillfully communicate and negotiate complex sales agreements with clients. Inform customers about new products and enhancements; effectively present product features and advantages. Collaborate with Application Specialists on these initiatives.

• Provide commercial assistance, aligning activities with internal stakeholders and production facilities for approximately 30% of work time.

• Discover new market opportunities in Eastern Europe, including targeted builds; gather competitive intelligence. Establish and maintain procedures to ensure precise budget and forecast data for the business.

• Lead NORIT's initiatives to achieve excellence in indirect channel management, distribution management, and customer service.

• Regularly utilize Salesforce.com as the primary CRM tool, ensuring the Sales Funnel is current, employing ComStrat, Balance of Power, and ENS negotiation preparation documents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry.

• 5-10 years of Technical Sales experience in the chemical or food & beverage industries, petrochemicals, or oleochemicals (previous experience in selling activated carbon is a plus).

• Ability to engage in verbal and written communication that is timely, direct, concise, clear, relevant, and presented with suitable style and tone.

• Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for achieving outcomes.

• Experience with channel partners and distribution management is advantageous.

• Capable of proactively driving sales with a knack for quickly identifying opportunities, entering new markets, and delivering significant results.

• Excellent verbal and written English skills are essential.
