Area Operations Manager – Maintenance Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepares cost estimates using the estimating template; reviews, approves all area estimates, and facilitates the transition of estimates into proposals.

• Oversees the internal RFQ evaluation process and advises on bid or no-bid decisions based on area, region, and the short- and long-term strategies of the company (BPI/TEiC).

• Submits proposals through the established internal TEiC commercial processes.

• Cultivates relationships with both new and existing customers in alignment with area, region, and company sales strategies; collaborates with BPI sales personnel and representatives on BPI/TEiC sales initiatives.

• Monitors project activities within TEiC; ensures compliance with company procedures and policies throughout project execution.

• Provides project status updates to senior leadership; effectively communicates challenges and suggests timely corrective actions.

• Conducts risk assessments for project-related issues; proposes solutions that align with the short-term and long-term goals of TEiC.

• Manages both internal and external reviews of area projects from sales identification to project completion.

• Evaluates the effectiveness of TEiC project leadership; mentors and coaches direct reports to foster positive changes; recommends corrective actions, including personnel changes, when necessary.

• Completes all commercial, operational, and company reporting obligations by the assigned deadline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of project controls and project risk management tools.

• Technical expertise in power plants and power equipment.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment; skilled at prioritizing responsibilities.

• A preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in field engineering, project management, or a related field.
