Area Nurse Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assists the District Director of Clinical Services (DDCS) in overseeing the healthcare operations of communities within a designated district.

• Aims to ensure that residents' healthcare requirements are fulfilled in accordance with state and federal guidelines as well as Brookdale standards.

• Travels within the district as necessary to provide support for management vacancies, training, auditing, and other identified areas to uphold clinical excellence and satisfy state mandates.

• Assumes the role of Health and Wellness Director (HWD) in assigned communities when an HWD is on leave, on extended vacation, or when the position is vacant.

• Offers clinical support and direction for communities facing regulatory deficiencies.

• Conducts audits of community clinical compliance and collaborates with other leaders to create and implement action plans as required.

• Provides root cause analysis and hands-on assistance to ensure that clinical outcomes meet standards and that key areas are up to date.

• Ensures compliance following cleanup efforts as necessary.

• Supports clinical initiatives and rollouts by leading training sessions for the district and/or individual communities as assigned by the DDCS.

• Coordinates and authorizes resident assessments in select states.

• Facilitates RN delegations for medications and care in accordance with state regulations.

• Engages in various meetings with the division, district, and individual communities.

• Delivers training, coaching, and guidance to clinical leaders and frontline staff.

• Participates in clinical training and audits compliance.

• Aids the DDCS during clinical Quality Assurance (QA) site visits.

• Provides the DDCS with insights regarding the overall assessment of community strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in nursing, health education, or a related field, or a Diploma RN.

• A minimum of two years of direct nursing experience with older adults.

• Current RN license issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle for business purposes.

• Basic typing skills and a working knowledge of personal computers and word processing software are required, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment.

• Ability to read and interpret various documents.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to effectively communicate in front of groups of customers or company associates.

• Proficient in English with the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
