Area Leader – Forensic Architecture & Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Supervise a local team comprised of global forensic professionals and engineers.

• Evaluate team performance and metrics such as utilization, job status, billable hours, and job count.

• Assign incoming tasks after thoroughly assessing which expert’s skillset is most suitable for the job.

• Ensure quality and execution of the team by offering both technical and managerial support.

• Regularly review and audit established guidelines to guarantee compliance and consistency across the division.

• Continuously seek new opportunities to enhance protocols and standards.

• Provide daily operational assistance to the FA&E Forensics Regional Leads.

• Assume responsibility for P&L performance and conduct compensation evaluations.

• Engage in meetings and presentations with peers and clients.

• Carry out research and develop technical subjects for publication.

• Perform field observations, testing, and data collection.

• Compile reports that detail observations, tests performed, and results achieved.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required (Master’s degree preferred but not essential).

• PE or SE license is required.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, including experience working directly with clients.

• Proven leadership and business acumen.

• A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in forensic engineering.

• Experience as an expert witness.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• A strong desire to learn, excel, and grow within the company and the profession.
