This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design and architect enterprise software solutions that align with AutoNation’s strategic architecture.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the supervised technical area and act as the technical resource for the team.
• Lead delivery teams in the implementation of enterprise software solutions, including managing work allocations.
• Collaborate with the PMO on project planning, estimation, execution, and budget oversight.
• Develop resources for team members.
• Work closely with the Scrum Master to maintain the project backlog and facilitate process improvements.
• Address incidents and participate in alerts, escalations, and recovery procedures to ensure timely restoration of system functionality.
• Oversee the rollout of new applications, problem resolutions, and software enhancements.
• Guide teams in the configuration management and deployment of code and configuration items across different environments into production.
• Ensure compliance with programming and enterprise architectural standards among teams.
• Coach and mentor leads and developers on technical best practices and career objectives, including goal setting and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with Business Analysis and Quality Assurance team members to guarantee project success.
• Complete work assignments and perform necessary follow-ups to ensure timely task completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience showcasing progression through technical roles.
• Proven experience in building and leading teams to deliver complex software solutions utilizing Java, Angular, and AWS Technologies.
• Understanding of the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of software applications with a focus on quality and reliability.
• Ability to thrive in a mission-critical, fast-paced environment and work flexible hours.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with business sponsors to refine and document complex business needs.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in project planning, including staffing and budget management for projects ranging from $500k to $2MM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must meet the company's employment requirements.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and maintenance of an acceptable, safe driving record.
