This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This is a unique chance to shape the way data circulates within the U.S. military’s logistics framework.
• As the Architecture and Data Lead, you will tackle one of the most significant integration challenges in contemporary DoD software: ensuring data flows reliably across various platforms, classification levels, and operational settings — and converting it into actionable, decision-ready information.
• You will design and develop the integration platform that links DEFCON AI’s software with the wider logistics C2 ecosystem. This encompasses creating adapters, standard data models, translation layers, synchronization mechanisms, and classification-sensitive data architecture that guarantee system coherence from headquarters to the tactical edge.
• This is a senior position that merges extensive technical execution with system-level architecture leadership. You will establish the architecture, construct essential components, and mentor a team of engineers and partners to deliver production-ready integrations across disconnected environments, diverse data models, and multi-enclave deployments.
• Over 10 years of experience in software/systems architecture, including at least one system-of-systems integration project delivered to production.
• More than 5 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering within DoD, logistics, or complex enterprise systems.
• Practical experience in creating production integration adapters between systems that were not originally designed to communicate.
• Proven experience working across multiple classification levels (IL-4, IL-5, IL-6) or equivalent regulated multi-enclave environments.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• An active Secret Clearance is necessary.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to USMC sites, Defcon AI HQ, and industry vendor facilities as needed.
• A fully remote, results-oriented work environment.
• Competitive salary, bonus, and equity package.
• Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision, fully covered by the employer for you and your family.
• Unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval.
• A flexible work environment that allows you to manage your own work schedule.
• 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
