This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Actively cultivate relationships with design professionals in the industry to boost demand for Allegion’s brands and architectural services.

• Identify key accounts; develop and oversee account objectives to promote both immediate and long-term growth.

• Conduct architectural education sessions, including AIA Lunch and Learns, along with industry networking events.

• Secure specification writing opportunities from targeted architectural accounts by leading successful project review meetings, collecting relevant documents and project information, and defining a mutually agreed-upon scope of work.

• Oversee each specification project throughout its lifecycle, consistently updating the project schedule and Allegion stakeholders.

• Proactively discover and monitor new project opportunities by leveraging lead databases and industry relationships.

• Timely pursue assigned construction leads; request RFAs (requests for approval) for projects where Allegion is not currently an approved manufacturer.

• Utilize relationships and industry expertise to establish architectural consulting agreements with firms; Architectural Consulting Agreements (ACAs) formalize partnerships between Allegion Consultants and architects, allowing for earlier coordination, an agreed-upon scope of work, and added value to the architect and construction process.

• Work collaboratively with the wider sales team on specification projects and during monthly market and project-tracking review meetings.

• Provide mentorship and support to peers to foster team growth.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry and competitor products by reviewing and analyzing market data on competitive activities.

• Keep an accurate sales pipeline by using our CRM to log call reports, track assigned projects, advance them through the sales process, and update essential customer and project details.

• Adapt to market changes and pursue ongoing education related to the construction industry and the needs of varying industry influencers; participate in local industry events such as AIA, CSI, and DHI.

• Stay informed about all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in business development or technical roles.

• Experience in architecture, construction, or door hardware is strongly preferred.

• Capability to develop a foundational understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.

• Proficient in business tools like Bluebeam, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM.

• Proven experience in influencing others with a proactive approach.

• Strong focus on customer service.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the territory, which includes Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
