This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Prepares thorough, precise, and code-compliant construction documentation.
• Executes tasks under the guidance and approval of supervisors for all projects.
• Delivers technical and innovative design solutions that align with program objectives.
• Integrates client program requirements and design criteria into existing buildings and structures.
• Responsible for selecting suitable building components and their design applications.
• Maintains project schedules, deadlines, and commitments for small to medium-scope assignments of moderate complexity.
• Informs the supervisor about changes in project scope and suggests if a change order proposal is necessary.
• Collaborates with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory bodies to achieve overall project goals.
• Possesses a solid understanding of building codes and ADA regulations.
• Conducts project due diligence with local municipalities to ascertain zoning and building code requirements.
• Responsible for addressing plan review comments from code officials.
• Assists the project liaison with code officials, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors regarding inquiries related to construction documents.
• Follows CAD standards and adheres to assigned drafting protocols across all projects.
• Receives feedback and direction from others.
• Collaborates with supervisors and colleagues to enhance professional growth.
• Engages in the NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP).
• Ensures the timely completion of assigned projects.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on simpler to moderately complex projects.
• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience and/or training, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and advanced techniques.
• Proficient in drawings, specifications, and building materials.
• Able to complete moderately complex architectural assignments with minimal supervision.
• Skillful in executing and coordinating multiple projects concurrently.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (required), Revit (preferred), Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet; 3ds Max is advantageous.
