This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.
• Develop data and AI governance strategies that are in alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
• Create, promote, and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
• Integrate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance data governance functions and capabilities.
• Design and execute data governance and/or AI governance strategies that enhance data discoverability, quality, accessibility, usability, AI use case assessment, and AI readiness.
• Oversee the migration of intricate data architectures from on-premises systems to cloud platforms.
• Establish and uphold data governance practices to improve data security and compliance standards.
• Implement containerization to boost scalability and deployment efficiency.
• Provide mentorship to engineers, assess architectures and code, and guide teams in the implementation process.
• Lead technical exploration, define solution architectures, respond to RFPs, and deliver demonstrations and proofs of concept for data engineering projects.
• Develop technical blueprints and suggest tools, frameworks, and design patterns that align with client requirements.
• Collaborate with sales and account teams to define project scopes, shape technical proposals, and demonstrate governance expertise.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in data governance, with at least 4 years in a client-facing position, ideally within a professional services environment.
• In-depth understanding of data governance capabilities as outlined in the DAMA-DMBOK.
• Certification in governance tools such as Unity Catalog, Atlan, or Anomalo.
• Advanced knowledge of Databricks and Spark.
• Proven experience in creating proofs of concept, technical presales presentations, and pricing for projects.
• Strong client-facing communication abilities with the capacity to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, macOS, Slack, and Atlassian tools.
