This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery pipeline for software engineering solutions within a portfolio.

• Collaborate with diverse teams, including business, sales, and marketing, to establish requirements, interfaces, implementation strategies, and scalable, reusable solutions.

• Promote technical excellence and the adoption of best engineering practices such as design reviews, continuous integration, and test-driven development.

• Serve as a proactive problem solver and lead efforts in exploring new technology platforms.

• Ensure the implementation of top-tier quality assurance techniques to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Attract and maintain a diverse and highly skilled engineering workforce, optimizing their utilization to maximize outcomes.

• Prepare and deliver technology delivery presentations to both senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist pre-sales and solutions teams in efforts to secure new business.

• Collaborate closely with the client engagement partner to enhance client relationships.

• Effectively manage daily operations and client communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including military experience.

• Over 10 years of overall IT experience.

• At least 4 years in an Architect role, leading requirements analysis, design, development, and operation of distributed, fault-tolerant applications.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with multiple partner clouds such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, Rackspace, OpenStack, and Oracle Cloud.

• Proven expertise and leadership in collaborating with business units, product management, development, and operations to architect innovative solutions.

• Practical experience in web development with languages such as Python, Go, C#, and JavaScript (Node, Angular).

• Familiarity with back-end development and open-source technologies like Jersey framework and Spring framework.

• Proficient in relational databases including Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle.

• Knowledgeable in NoSQL database technologies such as Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Experienced with message queue systems like RabbitMQ and Redis.

• Hands-on experience with N-tier Architecture (MVC, JEE) and ORM (Object Relational Mapping), as well as Agile tools such as JIRA and DevOps tools like Gradle, Docker, and Git.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
