This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and enhance the overall system architecture for the platform, ensuring it is scalable, high-performing, and resilient.
• Set architecture standards, design principles, and best practices for engineering teams.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical governance for key initiatives.
• Promote the use of modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design.
• Ensure strong security, compliance, and data privacy practices across all systems.
• Offer technical leadership across various teams, mentoring senior engineers.
• Serve as the primary expert for complex technical issues and escalations.
• Shape engineering culture by advocating for engineering excellence, code quality, and innovation.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership on long-term platform strategy and capacity planning.
• Work alongside DevOps and SRE teams to guarantee efficient deployment and operational excellence.
• Lead initiatives in AI integration, automation, and intelligent workflows.
• Continuously enhance development velocity and system performance.
• 12–15+ years of experience in software engineering and system architecture.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails (or similar dynamic backend frameworks), React or modern frontend frameworks, and distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
• Significant experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is required.
