Arabic/English OPI-VRI Remote Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Answer phone calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary related to the healthcare and medical industry.

• Ensure accurate and complete rendering of all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Arabic".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are beneficial (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and respect for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
