This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take full ownership of 3–5 enterprise healthcare accounts from start to finish.
• Act as the data specialist for each customer account.
• Create pilot programs that showcase the value to customers.
• Incorporate customer data, including tokens, claims, EHR, and marketing data, into Vi’s platform.
• Develop automated pipelines that train, score, and deliver insights regularly.
• Maintain technical oversight throughout operations and guide accounts towards autopilot mode.
• Collaborate directly with analytics, marketing, and clinical operations teams to identify KPIs and utilize Vi’s capabilities.
• Manage ingestion, data mapping, data quality, and make decisions regarding data supportability.
• Design studies that include power analysis, controls, confounders, and reliable business metrics.
• Construct and sustain per-customer production pipelines without manual intervention.
• Serve as the technical authority during both onboarding and ongoing operations.
• Address ad hoc data and reporting inquiries for active accounts.
• Recognize cross-customer trends and synthesize platform requirements.
• Occasionally travel onsite to meet with clients.
• Transform field insights into requirements for the product roadmap.
• Experience in experimental design: capable of designing and executing commercially significant studies and defending the study design to skeptical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of real data science: able to explain model functionality, evaluate models transparently, and comprehend their limitations.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with the working stack, including pandas, scikit-learn, and Airflow.
• Experience in production code and machine learning engineering.
• Background in building distributed data and ML pipelines using PySpark/Spark on large, complex datasets.
• Competence in independently conducting working sessions with clinical, IT, and analytics leaders at major health systems or health plans.
• Ability to convert business challenges into data-supported solutions and effectively communicate when data does not support desired outcomes.
• A mindset of ownership for customer accounts.
• Willingness to occasionally travel onsite to meet clients.
• Knowledge of the healthcare or life sciences domain is a plus, including claims, EHR, HL7/FHIR, lab data, or population health analytics.
• Experience in designing and optimizing marketing and engagement campaign targeting is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS data infrastructure is advantageous: S3, Glue, EMR, MWAA, SageMaker.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare compliance, and data governance frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience in taking a product from initial customer deployment to a repeatable deployment is a plus.
