This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and refine agentic AI systems tailored for intricate healthcare workflows, encompassing documentation, coding, denial management, appeals, and revenue cycle automation.
• Create long-term agent behaviors involving context construction, retrieval, tool utilization, memory management, routing, verification, escalation, and human-in-the-loop reviews.
• Establish specifications, rubrics, gold standards, test cases, and clinically relevant success criteria for clinical agents.
• Develop evaluation and feedback frameworks utilizing expert reviews, production logs, model outputs, and benchmarks.
• Assess performance, regressions, edge cases, safety, reliability, provenance quality, and business impact.
• Prototype AI functionalities and solidify them into dependable, explainable, and auditable production systems.
• Collaborate with research and ML engineering teams on model selection, fine-tuning, reward modeling, distillation, synthetic data generation, post-training processes, and internal AI infrastructure.
• Engage with instrumentation, experiment tracking, benchmarking, prompt/version management, and reproducible evaluation methodologies.
• Work alongside clinical, product, and engineering teams to convert real-world healthcare challenges into scalable AI solutions.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, applied AI, research engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in Python programming.
• Experience in developing production applications utilizing APIs, structured data, testing, logging, and observability tools.
• Familiarity with LLM applications, AI agents, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt engineering, tool invocation, structured outputs, or machine learning systems.
• Proven experience in designing evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, experimental workflows, and performance monitoring for AI systems.
