Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop innovative AI-driven product features from concept to deployment

• Enhance current AI processes to improve quality, reliability, responsiveness, and user satisfaction

• Create and execute LLM-based workflows, structured outputs, validation mechanisms, and fallback strategies

• Establish evaluation loops, testing protocols, and quality assurance for AI-generated results

• Incorporate AI functionalities into existing products and backend systems

• Collaborate with both commercial and open-source LLMs without being restricted to a single provider

• Facilitate self-hosted model workflows when they enhance quality, speed, cost-effectiveness, or control

• Troubleshoot AI feature issues across inputs, outputs, data, backend logic, and user interactions

• Utilize AI development tools as an integral part of your everyday tasks

• Deliver results swiftly while maintaining high production standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in software engineering, particularly in Python or a similar backend programming language

• Proven experience in developing AI-powered product features or LLM-based workflows

• Capability to swiftly transform ambiguous product concepts into functional software

• Deep understanding of designing, testing, validating, and enhancing AI outputs

• Hands-on experience in integrating AI workflows into live production systems

• Strong debugging skills across application logic, data, model outputs, and user-facing functionalities

• Familiarity with evaluation, testing, validation, or quality assurance for AI-generated content

• Significant experience utilizing AI development tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar in your daily routines

• High intelligence, quick learning ability, proactive approach, and a sense of ownership

• Comfortable with uncertainty, rapid decision-making, and a high-trust startup culture

• Proficient in written and spoken English
