Applied AI Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop product features powered by AI that are seamlessly integrated into authentic insurance workflows.

• Create and refine interactions based on LLMs across both customer-facing and internal systems.

• Generate prompts, reasoning pathways, and structured AI outputs tailored for production scenarios.

• Assess model performance utilizing real-world data, feedback loops, and experimental approaches.

• Enhance the reliability of AI outputs through the implementation of guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and validation layers.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to embed AI functionalities into APIs and workflows.

• Design and execute automation features driven by AI, including chat functionalities, recommendations, and decision support systems.

• Examine user behavior and model responses to facilitate ongoing improvements in AI performance.

• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive AI features.

• Influence AI system design decisions with an emphasis on usability and tangible real-world impact.

• Solid software engineering foundation in production settings.

• Proven experience with LLMs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or other open-source models.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering, structured outputs, and usage patterns of tools.

• Experience in developing or incorporating AI functionalities into actual products.

• Strong knowledge of API-based system integrations.

• Capability to critically assess AI outputs through data analysis and user feedback.

• Background in experimentation, A/B testing, or evaluation methodologies.

• Robust product intuition with a strong focus on enhancing user experience.
