Applied AI & Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Identify opportunities for automation.

• Collaborate with Operations, Support, and Technology to pinpoint areas where manual effort and repetition cause friction.

• Concentrate on workflows that are high-volume, repeatable, and critical to the business.

• Assist in prioritizing opportunities based on their impact, risk, and feasibility.

• Develop production-quality workflows utilizing APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems.

• Implement AI or LLMs for functions such as classification, routing, summarization, or decision support, where they provide clear value.

• Take responsibility for reliability and iteration, ensuring that automations are observable, testable, and maintainable.

• Monitor production behavior and enhance solutions over time.

• Minimize fragile one-off scripts in favor of reusable approaches.

• Proven experience in designing and operating reliable automations in production, including workflow orchestration.

• Ability to navigate imperfect systems and APIs, coupled with a keen awareness of operational risks and trade-offs.

• Practical experience in applying AI or LLMs in real-world workflows that deliver clear, measurable benefits.
