Applications Specialist – Packaging Line Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Convert customer requirements and operational needs into cohesive packaging and automation solutions.

• Create system concepts, layouts, and solution outlines that align with BW Packaging platforms, standards, and delivery capabilities.

• Assess application compatibility, system interfaces, and integration aspects across packaging, conveyance, controls, and OEM components.

• Assist in technical discussions with internal teams and clients to clarify project scope, assumptions, and limitations.

• Design and update layout drawings that represent proposed system configurations and facility limitations.

• Integrate both internally developed and partner-supplied equipment into unified system layouts.

• Ensure that layouts and technical documentation accurately depict the proposed scope and operational intent.

• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and integration scope utilizing established tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with Controls, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to verify assumptions and enhance estimate precision.

• Work together with Business Development to aid in opportunity shaping and client discussions.

• Implement standard workflows, documentation methods, and estimating practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is essential.

• A strong grasp of packaging systems, automation, and integrated solutions is required.

• Experience in developing layouts, concepts, and estimates for capital equipment or automation initiatives.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard productivity software is necessary.

• Capability to interpret customer needs and convert them into organized technical and commercial inputs.

• Strong communication skills when working with both technical and commercial teams.

• Willingness to adapt to changing responsibilities in alignment with strategic priorities and business requirements.
