This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Analyze, develop, test, document, educate, implement, support, and optimize assigned applications, solutions, and business processes to fulfill operational and technical requirements.
• Collaborate across project boundaries with various teams.
• Think creatively and propose practical solutions to challenges.
• Provide oversight and project management for assigned tasks.
• Exhibit a solid working knowledge of subject matter expertise to support projects, customers, and other teams, while actively seeking to enhance and acquire new expertise in applications/systems within assigned areas.
• Regularly and effectively utilize application training, websites, and resource materials, guiding newer team members in using these resources.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of operations, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer usability, efficiency, and experience.
• Represent user needs and expectations in larger, more complex system updates and enhancements.
• Deliver clear and organized status reports on key project areas for external communication to stakeholders.
• Conduct working level process and requirement analysis, including process mapping through current flow charts, documentation, future needs/plans, requirement elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering to provide cross-team solutions.
• Responsible for performing working level gap analysis and offering recommendations.
• Clearly articulate complex design and configuration issues to end users and project stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with end user leadership after engagement.
• Proactively address end user conflicts.
• Contribute to strategy discussions by identifying options with associated pros and cons alongside team members.
• Facilitate timely decision-making; make sound decisions even when complete information is lacking.
• Recognize when a quick 80% resolution is adequate.
• Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
• Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in application-specific design and configuration.
• Clearly articulate and communicate core design and configuration concepts to end users.
• Independently analyze, design, and configure the application.
• Teach design and configuration concepts to new team members.
• Collaborate and build strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners.
• Work with Operational Leaders to focus on standardized best practice workflow processes and content to ensure alignment across all ministries, creating efficiencies and optimal operational processes.
• Coordinate code changes with the appropriate vendor related to financial and business application issues.
• Collaborate with the Technical Team to identify infrastructure-related issues that have resulted in application problems.
• Share industry best practices from vendors with Operational Leaders.
• Demonstrate increasing technical knowledge of the assigned application, including the relationships of infrastructure and its impact on users when unavailable.
• Serve as a liaison between business operations and providers, internal information technology, system users, and vendors, working within defined project objectives for issue and problem resolution.
• Follow strict change management processes to ensure proper approval, testing, and validation of system changes.
• Provide written documentation to end users and leadership that reflects consistency and thorough review.
• Be a team player and proactively communicate issues and concepts to project leadership.
• Periodically review and auto-correct personal skills, habits, work ethic, and behaviors, managing work effectively and amicably among peers.
• Be sensitive and aware of how others perceive them, ensuring smooth and effective working relationships and environments.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve moderate incidents and requests without direction.
• Maintain high standards for the quality of work for self and others.
• Provide oversight and feedback on team member design, configuration, and deliverables.
• Manage medium complexity projects/requests.
• Collaborate with team members as necessary.
• Proactively evaluate all new releases and functionalities of applications.
• Complete assigned courses within Healthstream and other electronic tracking tools for educational materials or attend in-person presentations in a timely manner as assigned.
• Ensure that the services provided contribute to the successful achievement of the department's primary mission.
• Escalate issues when SLAs are breached or appropriate vendor action is not occurring.
• Assist in preparing and conducting continuing formal or informal training sessions for users and co-workers.
• Identify and seize new opportunities, displaying a can-do attitude during both good and challenging times, stepping up to handle tough issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, focusing on healthcare, business, or information systems.
• 3+ years of experience required.
• 2+ years in healthcare, business, or information systems.
• Solve moderate incidents without direction.
• Develop new functionality for requests with minimal guidance.
• Work in a team environment, sharing information and assisting junior level team members.
• Possess detailed knowledge of healthcare and systems expertise.
• Make decisions regarding own work primarily on routine cases.
• Operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment that requires analysis of variable factors.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop strategies and solutions.
• Mentor and potentially train team members within own functional area or application.
• May require travel to perform duties.
• May require working additional hours as needed during critical issues.
