Application Support Analyst – EDI Technician, FTP, Customs/ABI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• EDI Transaction Assistance

• Deliver daily application support for EDI transactions and file-based integrations.

• Diagnose EDI issues, including failures, missing or rejected files, formatting problems, data inconsistencies, and transmission errors.

• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to address EDI processing challenges.

• Aid in EDI testing during client onboarding, application fixes, enhancements, or modifications.

• FTP / FTP2 File Transfer Assistance.

• Assist with FTP-related tasks, including liaising with the FTP group to request accounts for vendors, manage password changes, address connectivity issues, update access, and fulfill file transfer requirements.

• Confirm successful file transfers following FTP password alterations, configuration adjustments, or access changes.

• Ensure the secure and precise exchange of files between internal systems and external partners.

• Client Testing & Meeting Assistance.

• Facilitate testing and validation of layouts, encompassing file structure, field mapping, formatting, required fields, and compliance with business rules.

• Detect and report discrepancies in layouts, missing data, invalid values, or formatting issues.

• Coordinate with QA, development, business, and client teams to address testing and resolution of issues.

• Engage in client/internal meetings to assess layout requirements, testing outcomes, defects, and necessary changes.

• ABI / Customs Assistance.

• Support uploads and downloads related to ABI/customs and oversee customs data exchange processes.

• Diagnose customs file failures, rejected records, absent shipment data, incorrect customs details, and processing errors.

• Work with business and technical teams to remedy customs processing challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Application Support, EDI Support, or Integration Support.

• Practical experience with EDI transactions, file-based data exchanges, FTP/SFTP/FTP2 procedures, and application troubleshooting.

• Proven ability to coordinate with FTP/infrastructure teams for password alterations, access issues, connectivity concerns, and file transfer needs.

• Experience in testing, structured file validation, data mapping, and file troubleshooting.

• Understanding of ABI/customs processes, including uploads, downloads, and customs-related data flows.

• Familiarity with ticketing/change tools such as SMC, ADO, ServiceNow, ELF, Jira, or similar systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder coordination, and documentation capabilities.

• Proficient in both Spanish and English to interact effectively with teams and vendors.
