This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and sustain internal applications, APIs, automations, and integrations for Forterra’s business operations.
• Create solutions utilizing C#, .NET, SQL, PowerShell, and other associated Microsoft technologies.
• Construct and provide support for integrations among systems such as ERP, PLM, HR, Finance, Engineering, and Operations platforms.
• Automate repetitive or manual workflows through coding, scripting, Power Automate, and system APIs.
• Collaborate with teams in Engineering, HR, Finance, Operations, IT, and Security to comprehend requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop tools that enhance access management, reporting, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Uphold secure development and system administration practices within a regulated environment.
• Diagnose issues across applications, integrations, data flows, permissions, and operating systems.
• Document solutions, facilitate handoff, and assist in establishing maintainable engineering practices for Application Services.
• Keep abreast of the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, DevOps, business systems, and/or internal tools.
• Proficient experience with C#, .NET, APIs, scripting, and SQL or relational databases.
• Experience in building or supporting internal applications, automation, integrations, or business systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, or enterprise identity/access systems.
• Capability to troubleshoot across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage directly with non-technical business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to transform ambiguous business challenges into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, startup, defense, government, or regulated environments.
