This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Deploy, install, and configure FabGuard monitoring systems across a variety of tool groups, including Etch, CVD, PVD, and Litho.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical assistance for FabGuard software, hardware, and data acquisition.
• Diagnose and rectify Windows system issues, as well as perform PC installation, configuration, and cabling tasks.
• Create recipes and conduct data analyses using FabGuard for Fault Detection and Classification (FDC).
• Deliver customer training on INFICON products, while identifying areas for improvement and new application opportunities.
• Provide both written and verbal feedback regarding applications, process optimization, and installations.
• Configure and oversee data acquisition parameters between FabGuard and associated systems.
• Support integration projects that involve OPC-UA, SECS/GEM, TCP/IP, and other relevant industrial protocols.
• Test and verify software updates; troubleshoot connectivity problems and data discrepancies.
• Act as the on-site point of contact for customer teams across various fabs.
• Collaborate with process engineering and equipment teams to ensure equipment readiness and manage logistics.
• Report site status and escalate risks to INFICON EMEA and US management.
• Contribute to regular updates on site status and suggest process enhancements.
• Train customers and contractor teams on FabGuard procedures.
• Document configurations specific to each site.
• Provide cross-coverage support to other field colleagues as necessary.
• Technical diploma or degree in electronics, automation, industrial systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and OEM equipment, including lithography, PVD, and CVD technologies.
• Basic understanding of vacuum pump and abatement system operations.
• Proven ability to test and validate software in industrial and manufacturing settings.
• Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and adhering to all cleanroom protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage directly with customer stakeholders.
• Prior experience in semiconductor fabrication environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, SECS/GEM, Modbus TCP) is an advantage.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a bonus.
• Willingness to work on-site at customer fabs and coordinate with customer teams.
