This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Comprehend customer workflows and technical obstacles; establish measurement requirements and suggest suitable INFICON solutions.
• Conduct application evaluations, feasibility analyses, and technical troubleshooting related to vacuum measurement, leak detection, residual gas analysis, and thin-film monitoring technologies.
• Assist clients with the installation, commissioning, and optimization of solutions.
• Examine measurement data to pinpoint root causes of vacuum and process problems.
• Create application-specific demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and testing plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, KAMs, and SAMs to identify and validate technical opportunities.
• Engage in customer visits, technical discussions, and responses to RFQs.
• Present technical information, product demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
• Formulate technical and commercial value propositions based on client requirements.
• Generate technical proposals and assist in solution positioning.
• Lead or participate in customer projects from initial requirements to successful implementation.
• Establish acceptance criteria and application KPIs.
• Coordinate with Service and internal teams during installation and commissioning processes.
• Follow up after deployment to guarantee customer satisfaction and recognize upsell opportunities.
• Document application knowledge and produce reusable application guides and troubleshooting protocols.
• Develop and sustain expertise in vacuum fundamentals, pressure measurement, leak detection, RGA, pumping systems, and coating applications.
• Share customer feedback with Product Management and Business Units.
• Identify frequent customer challenges and suggest new applications or solutions.
• Create internal and external training materials; mentor colleagues and customers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Vacuum Technology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Generally 3–7 years of experience in vacuum technology, instrumentation, process engineering, applications engineering, service engineering, or a similar industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of vacuum technology, vacuum system design, and vacuum processes.
• Knowledge of pressure measurement principles and vacuum instrumentation, including gauges, controllers, and measurement systems.
• Direct experience working with customers is highly preferred.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
• Experience in an international context is advantageous.
