
Application Engineer – Bearing Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the potential use of the company's products or services and providing solutions that fulfill customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the sales team on various projects.
• Investigate the advantages of acquiring company products or services.
• Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills to present recommendations and deliver relevant technical training to clients.
• Work alongside product engineers on product specifications, manufacturability, and other technical aspects, assisting in product development.
• Consult with customers on technical inquiries via telephone or email, aiding customers and sales representatives with product selection and design by offering technical product expertise and providing 2D drawings or 3D models.
• Support the engineering team by creating drawings, models, and customizing products as needed.
• Engage in discussions with customers about projects to ascertain their needs and support the sales team effectively.
• Demonstrate and educate customers on the fundamentals of bearing and power transmission products, either virtually or onsite.
• Aid in quoting for special projects and modified standard units.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Experience in mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with bearings and mechanical power transmission products and solutions.
• Proficient in 2D drawing software and 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks).
• Capable of conducting engineering calculations such as moment analysis on 2D systems, thermal expansion, bearing service life, and other standard engineering calculations.
• Experience in implementing geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Willingness to travel as necessary (up to 30%).
