Application Developer – .NET, SharePoint

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Configuration, development, and implementation of ICT components, encompassing source code, solution architecture, software components, design patterns, database schemas, and the configuration of corresponding backend systems on both cloud and on-premises platforms and infrastructure;

• Automate tasks and establish continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes for ICT projects;

• Execute data clean-up automation and facilitate data migrations;

• Design, create, enhance, and optimize database functionalities for integration and data synchronization;

• Migrate SharePoint applications across various SharePoint versions, while also improving and maintaining existing SharePoint applications;

• Implement the final design (i.e., "look-and-feel") of the User Interface (UI);

• Design, implement, test, and sustain integrations with other information systems and platforms as necessary;

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, which includes solution architecture documentation, operational maintenance manuals, version description documents, release guidelines, and user manuals;

• Strengthen the security posture of applications based on security vulnerability assessments and other best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in IT, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in the IT sector;

• Proficiency in software development using .NET (C# or VB.NET), ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, and Entity Framework;

• Experience in developing SharePoint on-premises applications;

• Proven experience in developing unit tests for both front-end and back-end functionalities;

• Familiarity with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Azure DevOps;

• Experience with Web APIs and executing system integrations;

• Knowledge of integrating 3rd Party Libraries in applications, such as DevExpress and Telerik for application customization;

• Proficient in web technologies, including JavaScript, XML, HTML/5, CSS/3, and web design frameworks such as Bootstrap CSS;

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular;

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting (or similar);

• Strong knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and Microsoft SQL Server database structures and stored procedures, including troubleshooting database performance issues;

• Excellent command of the English language.
