Application Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Creates design documentation and translates it into detailed component-level designs to expedite the development process.

• Offers design expertise to support the development team in creating flexible, reusable components that enhance cost efficiency.

• Evaluates, designs, and reviews applications and suites of applications to ensure alignment with customer specifications.

• Serves as a bridge between application architects and development teams to guarantee coordinated product development and implementation.

• Collaborates with product development teams and senior designers to formulate design requirements that are precise and pertinent to the company's needs.

• Aids in the evaluation and analysis of collected information during technical research, as well as assessing tools and methodologies to ensure adherence to current industry, client, and company standards in design.

• Develops and delivers technical documentation; participates in and oversees the creation of test plans, integration, and deployment.

• Engages in business process workshops, project meetings, and collaborative application development sessions to ensure effective communication of product design decisions within the department.

• Acts as a subject matter expert and collaborates closely with software developers to clarify application design, facilitating coordination between both functions to improve product quality and efficiency.

• Leverages experience with development methodologies, coding documentation, testing practices, and industry standards to define and create project requirements, functional specifications, and detailed designs for client application solutions.

• Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.

• Directs the efforts of junior developers in creating, maintaining, and communicating application design details to ensure compliance with specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in product design and support.

• Familiarity with software design principles, the software development life cycle, and development methodologies and their implementation.

• Knowledge of product systems design principles.

• Proficiency in relevant programming languages, operating systems, hardware, and software.

• Understanding of company application development policies and procedures.
