Application Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to outline, strategize, and execute application deployment initiatives and activities.

• Deploy, configure, and oversee applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

• Create and sustain deployment scripts and automation tools.

• Design, construct, and manage Terraform infrastructure as code, including reusable modules and remote state management.

• Monitor and resolve deployment issues in conjunction with development and operations teams.

• Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments.

• Test and validate deployments for accuracy, functionality, and performance.

• Ensure adherence to deployment and release management policies and best practices.

• Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Stay updated on trends in application deployment, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.

• Design, implement, and enhance application deployment processes and technologies.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

• Conduct business in accordance with Intradiem policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in application deployment, release management, or similar roles.

• Strong understanding of application deployment methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Extensive experience with scripting and deployment automation in a continuous integration environment.

• Proficient in Terraform, including writing and maintaining modules, managing state, and integrating Terraform runs into CI/CD pipelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration practices and challenges related to cross-platform integration.

• Expertise in system-level and integration-level testing, with a solid background in quality assurance.

• Experience in specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure.

• Proven deployment experience in hosted environments.

• Strong skills in Windows and Linux, including knowledge of Linux servers and troubleshooting.

• RHCSA and RHCE certifications.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to quickly learn new technologies and apply new skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
