Application Cloud Architect, Java, Semantic Web Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Offer direction and assistance pertaining to system architecture and processes, focusing on the interoperability between ESCO and EURES/Europass.

• Develop a strategy aimed at enhancing efficiency in IT operations for the Project.

• Prepare and maintain architectural designs as well as technical documentation.

• Oversee and review existing system processes.

• Engage in workshops and meetings with external stakeholders.

• Support the assessment of systems to identify discrepancies and vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with business analysts, clients, users, project leaders, and developers.

• Analyze the integration of various information systems.

• Conduct data analysis and data modeling.

• Coordinate the execution of the technical architecture.

• Serve as a technical link between project leaders and developers.

• Create software architecture documentation.

• Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings.

• Assist during critical phases of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.

• Design and create blueprints for Cloud Architecture.

• Review the architecture of existing systems to facilitate their migration to the cloud.

• Design and develop architecture components and building blocks utilizing cloud elements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

• A decade of IT experience, ideally in software development with Java.

• Familiarity with the Semantic Web Stack: RDF/OWL processing using Apache Jena, SPARQL, triple stores (GraphDB, Apache Fuseki), and semantic reasoning engines.

• Minimum of 10 years' experience with Microsoft Office tools.

• Hands-on experience in system vulnerability assessment.

• Solid understanding of microservices and cloud architecture.

• Cloud and Enterprise architecture certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of Enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Cobit.

• Experience or knowledge of Archimate.

• Integration of AI and Machine Learning, understanding of architecture governance frameworks and MLOps.

• Capability to respond swiftly and effectively to unforeseen events.

• Proficient in delivering business and technical presentations.
