Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Defining or modifying the existing architecture to meet customer requirements.

• Conducting data analysis, creating ERD models, and implementing Boyce–Codd Normal Form (BCNF).

• Assisting technical teams in integrating with the system.

• Resolving technical challenges encountered during the implementation of the solution.

• Designing and developing architectural components and foundational building blocks.

• Engaging in technical working groups, progress meetings, and discussions with users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Master's degree accompanied by 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years focused on Oracle RDBMS architecture.

• Strong proficiency in relational databases (preferably Oracle 19c or newer), encompassing database design and advanced SQL skills.

• Significant experience with PL/SQL, stored procedures, and deployment packages.

• Expertise in Git and CI/CD pipelines for databases (e.g., Liquibase).

• Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux and shell scripting (Bash/KornShell).

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira) along with a foundational knowledge of database administration.

• Basic understanding of application servers (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat).

• Knowledge of modern data engineering tools (such as Parquet, Delta, Databricks, Synapse, or Fabric) is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and HR domain knowledge would be advantageous.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation abilities, with fluency in English.
