Application Analyst, Beaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Assist in the support of healthcare applications through various phases including planning, design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and ongoing support.

• Deliver technical assistance by analyzing and diagnosing issues faced by stakeholders and providing solutions.

• Collect, validate, and convert technology requirements into design and development specifications.

• Configure, test, install, implement, monitor, and maintain applications, workflows, processes, and hardware.

• Document and propose workflow modifications and technical/functional designs that align with business requirements.

• Collaborate with external vendors for third-party application integration, implementation, support, and troubleshooting.

• Address incidents and problems in accordance with service levels and departmental standards.

• Act as project manager and carry out project-management tasks for small to mid-sized projects.

• Work in partnership with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors.

• Adhere to documentation and change-management protocols.

• Engage in the creation of training and knowledge materials for peers, end users, and team members.

• Configure and integrate electronic and mechanical hardware with software solutions.

• Understand and develop business reporting requirements for end users.

• Participate in on-call duties and command-center responsibilities, if necessary.

• Create and maintain testing plans and scripts to ensure system outputs and integrity.

• Attend team, project, and departmental meetings.

• Deliver minimum viable products to meet demands in ServiceHub.

• Initiate requests for project and enhancement work resources through the ServiceHub Resource Plan process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferably Epic Beaker CP certified or accredited / Data Innovations certified.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in business and application fields.

• Familiarity with system analysis and operating systems.

• Ability to assess needs and determine suitable approaches through documentation.

• Competence in defining problems and collecting data, establishing facts, and reaching valid conclusions.

• Capacity to read and interpret industry publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

• Proficiency in writing correspondence and processing documents.

• Clinical knowledge and expertise in Blood Bank, Pathology, and Microbiology.

• Minimum of two years of work experience, or actively pursuing a bachelor's degree with four years of experience in a relevant field.

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may substitute for education with Supervisory and HR approval.

• Must achieve certification on one or more Epic applications and maintain that certification.

• Ability to operate computers and other IT equipment requiring manual dexterity.

• Ability to see and read computer screens and documents.

• Capability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.

• Availability for a Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM MST schedule.

• Candidates must not reside or plan to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington.
