This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the architecture and design of case management applications while ensuring the implementation of best practices in low-code development, integrations, and data modeling.
• Design and execute Appian Case Management applications utilizing Case Management Studio, including Records, Actions, Process Models, and User Interfaces.
• Configure case hierarchies, record relationships, task routing, and reporting dashboards specifically tailored for Federal workflows.
• Integrate Appian workflows with SAP ECC systems through REST/OData services, Appian Integration Designer, and Connected Systems to synchronize data, such as purchase orders, requisitions, funds, and vendor information.
• Develop low-code automation components, including Web APIs, RPA bots, and process event triggers to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with SAP, database, and middleware teams to establish secure data exchange standards and field mappings.
• Ensure all integrations and applications comply with FedRAMP, FISMA, and agency ATO requirements, focusing on identity management (SAML/OAuth), encryption, and audit logging.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews; estimate work effort and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and configuration guides that meet Federal CDRL and IV&V expectations.
• Assist with production deployments, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in partnership with DevSecOps teams.
• Utilize Appian Reports and Process Analytics to deliver data-driven insights into operational performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Appian application development, including a minimum of 1 year with Appian Case Management Studio.
• Practical experience in developing process models, records, interfaces, and decision rules within Appian.
• Proficient understanding of Appian Data Fabric and Record-to-Record relationships for intricate case architectures.
• Experience in integrating Appian with enterprise systems through REST APIs, OData, or web services, preferably with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
• Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Federal IT compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP Moderate, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
