This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve automobile liability claims.
• Review the assigned claims and reach out to the insured and other impacted parties.
• Set clear expectations for the claims process and begin documentation within the claims handling system.
• Conduct comprehensive coverage analysis and facilitate fair, timely resolutions for claims.
• Diligently document and finalize all claim closure activities in the designated claims management system.
• Manage moderately complex claims that involve settling Total Losses and vehicle inspections.
• Identify the cause of damage, establish liability, and oversee repair processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of the ACG Claim Representative Training Program or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• For states requiring an Adjuster’s license, candidates must be eligible to obtain a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days of hire.
• A valid driver's license is necessary for conducting in-person inspections or regular in-person meetings.
• Minimum of two years of experience or equivalent training in the negotiation of claim settlements, gathering and evaluating evidence, preparing estimates, and resolving coverage inquiries.
• Advanced understanding of the Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act as it pertains to claims, subrogation procedures, intercompany arbitration, and negligence law.
