This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +3 more countries.
• Design distinctive travel and event experiences that connect donors and prospects to TNC’s mission, Asia Pacific priorities, and the One Future campaign.
• Oversee a portfolio of tailor-made trips and events for high-level donors and prospects.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle for multiple donor trips and events each year.
• Organize and implement logistics and deliverables in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Anticipate challenges, assess alternatives, implement solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and APRO Development leadership.
• Coordinate with regional teams regarding specific trip and event activities.
• Administer guidelines, policies, procedures, information analysis, documentation, and workflow enhancements.
• Offer advice, suggestions, and training to colleagues throughout Asia Pacific and the broader organization.
• Develop, plan, and carry out travel and event initiatives within the Asia Pacific region.
• Handle multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, invoices, transfers, vendors, and negotiations.
• Support program, departmental, and organization-wide objectives and strategies.
• Raise issues and decisions that impact broader programs to APRO Development leadership.
• Manage intricate accounts or client relationships.
• Travel occasionally and work extended and flexible hours as necessary.
• Lead cross-departmental teams and coordinate with peers without direct supervision of staff.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience in planning and managing high-touch travel projects and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in navigating relationships with vendors and travel stakeholders.
• Experience in supervising staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
• Familiarity with current and emerging technology in the relevant field.
• Skilled in working across departments and with cross-functional teams.
• Background, coursework, or training in a relevant field is beneficial.
• Multi-lingual and cross-cultural experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively or in an advisory capacity.
• Creative writing skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience in setting, managing, and executing goals, plans, and complex processes.
• Expert knowledge of technology related to donor communications.
• In-depth understanding of communication trends, ideally in a nonprofit setting.
• Proficiency in interpreting guidelines and managing, analyzing, and presenting data.
• Experience in managing and implementing strategic program goals.
• Exceptional planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with visual storytelling and/or best practices in design.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended and flexible hours as necessary.
