This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, develop, implement, and continuously enhance automation solutions utilizing Ansible.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and reusable automation components for configuration, provisioning, and operational processes.
• Plan, manage, and execute build, deployment, and release processes within intricate IT infrastructure environments.
• Automate and standardize deployment, configuration, and operational processes for both Microsoft and Linux systems.
• Develop and refine standardized, reproducible provisioning and deployment processes, inclusive of rollback scenarios and operational handovers.
• Leverage PowerShell as a complementary automation and scripting language, especially for Microsoft-based infrastructure components.
• Administer and technically integrate Microsoft infrastructures, notably Windows Server, Active Directory, IAM, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, and Exchange.
• Support the administration and integration of Linux systems and VMware-based virtualized platforms.
• Analyze, evaluate, refactor, and further develop existing scripts and automation solutions focusing on maintainability, stability, reusability, and code quality.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within automated build, deployment, configuration, and release processes.
• Coordinate and ensure the quality of releases by collaborating closely with infrastructure, operations, development, and project teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and documentation related to automation and releases.
• Process and document requirements, user stories, and tickets in Jira, utilizing Confluence for technical documentation and knowledge management.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Ansible for the automation of configuration, deployment, and operational processes.
• Strong knowledge in developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code/Configuration as Code and the standardization of IT infrastructures.
• Significant experience in build, deployment, and release management.
• Proficient in PowerShell for automating Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
• Good understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory, along with experience in Linux systems.
• Experience with VMware-based virtualization environments.
• Solid understanding of release, change, and configuration management processes.
• Proven experience in error analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizing automation solutions.
• Structured, independent, and quality-oriented approach to work.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence, alongside IT projects in the public sector.
• Native German speaker or possess German proficiency at least at C1 level.
• English proficiency at B1 level.
