Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and develop advanced applications for the Android platform (build and maintain high-quality Android applications utilizing Java and Kotlin; work alongside cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features; and, engage with external data sources and APIs).

• Ensure applications' performance, quality, and responsiveness (conduct code reviews to uphold code quality; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and fix bugs; and maintain code quality, organization, and automation).

• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies (continuously explore, assess, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency; and stay informed about emerging mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols).

• Collaborate effectively with team members (partner closely with the design team to create a seamless user experience; assist in project planning, sprint planning, and time estimation; and mentor junior developers while sharing knowledge within the team).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in Android development.

• In-depth experience with Java and Kotlin.

• Strong understanding of JavaScript and familiarity with front-end frameworks.

• Experience with remote data handling via REST and JSON.

• Proficient with third-party libraries and APIs.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete mobile development life cycle.

• Experience with Android SDK, various Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes.
