Analytics Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, KPIs, and analytical assets for both internal and customer-oriented applications.

• Design scalable Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions that support Intelligent Visibility, Accelerated Path, customer analysis, and reporting modernization projects.

• Construct reusable semantic models, data marts, report templates, and dashboard design frameworks.

• Collaborate with teams across Product, Operations, Customer Success, Data Engineering, Architecture, and AI Engineering.

• Assist in the migration and modernization of legacy analytics and reporting assets to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

• Convert customer and business reporting requirements into scalable Power BI and Fabric solutions.

• Establish and uphold governance standards for workspace design, report definitions, KPI logic, semantic models, security, and operational support.

• Enforce access controls, Row-Level Security, workspace governance, and deployment validations.

• Ensure accuracy of reports, data models, calculations, filters, security roles, and refresh processes prior to release.

• Enhance analytics delivery through reusable templates, automation, deployment pipelines, performance optimization, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.

• Facilitate AI-driven analytics experiences, including Copilot in Power BI, Data Agents, conversational analytics, and natural language insights.

• Offer technical mentoring and guidance to engineers, analysts, and business users utilizing Power BI and Fabric.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Power BI development, BI development, analytics engineering, data modeling, or reporting platforms.

• Solid expertise in Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, SQL, semantic models, workspaces, apps, gateways, refresh processes, deployment practices, and access management.

• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level semantic models.

• Proficient in advanced DAX, Power Query, SQL, dimensional modeling, data visualization, performance optimization, and dashboard development.

• Established track record of delivering production Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and governed analytics assets.

• Background in implementing Row-Level Security, workspace security, and customer-facing report distribution methods.

• Capability to create intuitive customer-facing reporting experiences and reusable semantic models.

• Strong communication abilities and effective collaboration with product owners, business stakeholders, engineers, data architects, and customer-facing teams.

• Proficient in troubleshooting data discrepancies, report performance challenges, refresh failures, access issues, and semantic model defects.

• Preferred working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows, and related Microsoft analytics services.

• Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar delivery tools is preferred.

• Experience in modernizing legacy reporting assets or involvement in Tableau-to-Power BI migration initiatives is preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI Copilot, AI-driven reporting, or conversational analytics is a plus.

• Preferred knowledge in logistics, parcel technology, customer analytics, or operational reporting.
