This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Take ownership of the entire Canadian post-delinquency lifecycle, encompassing digital and outbound collections, third-party agency placements, and post-charge-off recoveries.
β’ Manage the digital and calling collections approach, focusing on the cadence and sequencing of communications, optimization of days of the week and channels, outbound calling strategies, and repayment experiments.
β’ Oversee the recoveries strategy and performance metrics, which include recovery rates, cost-to-collect, placement mix, liquidation curves, and vendor scorecards.
β’ Define and refine the Canadian collections and recoveries strategy covering delinquency, roll rates, agency effectiveness, and charge-off/net-after-charge-off outcomes.
β’ Identify, evaluate, and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing collections and recoveries performance.
β’ Drive initiatives from concept through to execution and measured impact, utilizing opportunity sizing, A/B testing frameworks, and post-launch evaluations.
β’ Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to Canadian federal and provincial regulatory standards.
β’ Partner with collections and recoveries teams in other regions, particularly the US, to leverage cross-market opportunities.
β’ 5-7+ years of experience in credit risk, collections, or recoveries strategy analytics within the consumer lending sector.
β’ Proven experience in designing or optimizing collections and/or recoveries strategies using data, analytics, and insights.
β’ Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
β’ Demonstrated capability to analyze credit and collections performance data and convert it into actionable insights.
β’ Knowledgeable in collections, recoveries, and delinquency management practices.
β’ Familiarity with Canadian consumer protection laws, collections, and privacy regulations (e.g., provincial consumer protection/collection-agency legislation, PIPEDA) is advantageous.
β’ Exceptional cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly.
