• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and standardize essential business metrics.
• Design and uphold dashboards and reports that provide business teams with reliable, self-service access to the most relevant metrics.
• Create and sustain semantic layer views that act as the trusted, centralized definitions of key business metrics.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance the speed and quality of data modeling tasks, including documentation generation, anomaly detection, and extracting insights from complex datasets.
• Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and convert them into sustainable, reusable solutions.
• Act as a dependable resource for analysts and downstream users.
• Convey information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring complex data concepts are understandable without oversimplification.
• Strong expertise in SQL.
• Practical experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) for building and maintaining models in a production environment.
• Experience in constructing or utilizing semantic layer views to centralize and standardize definitions of key business metrics.
• Comprehensive understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, and ELT patterns.
• Familiarity with a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) and understanding how downstream users engage with data.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to boost productivity, enhance data workflows, or accelerate development processes.
• Exceptional communication abilities with a proven capacity to work efficiently across technical and business teams.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a combined analyst/engineer role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in delivering analytical data products actively utilized by business teams.
