This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee and enhance LTL Carrier Scorecards that include both operational and financial metrics.
• Utilize scorecards to promote positive transformations both within the organization and with external carrier partners.
• Play a role in customer onboardings and implementations, collaborating with LTL carriers to effectively align operational strategies with customer needs stemming from Procurement events for both new and existing clients.
• Build essential relationships internally to understand the operations of the Redwood Operations, Freight Audit & Pay, and Procurement teams.
• Act as a representative of these departments in a carrier-facing capacity to enhance critical processes that impact the Redwood business.
• Handle escalations from within the organization and initiate corrective actions within the LTL carrier network.
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders that represent Redwood processes.
• Support carrier aging management and resolution by driving improvements in rate discrepancies and disputes, ultimately implementing new processes to increase the percentage of Freight Bills paid within terms.
• Acquire knowledge of all Redwood systems and Transportation Management Systems to become proficient in data management for quantifying carrier performance.
• Manage internal communications regarding changes in the LTL industry, including weather or other events that may disrupt LTL carrier operations.
• Travel to LTL carrier offices and local terminals to represent Redwood and its customers.
• Develop carrier contacts across Pricing, Operations, Collections, and Technology departments.
• Visit prospective customers to gather information about their products and operations to help Redwood provide the best LTL solutions.
• Solid understanding of the LTL industry with experience in interactions with LTL carriers.
• 3-5 years of experience in a logistics role at a company or 3PL.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and leverage data to foster positive change and address challenges.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems and knowledge of systems integrations that facilitate financial transactions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal abilities; capable of quickly establishing and nurturing relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Proficient presentation skills for engaging with senior leaders both internally and externally.
• A growth mindset accompanied by a positive, can-do attitude.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including adeptness in presentations.
• This role necessitates travel to carriers and occasionally to customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
