Analyst, Charge Correction Posting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Review and repost discrepancies in charges, such as underpayments, overpayments, and misapplied charges.

• Identify, investigate, and ensure timely posting of corrections related to claims.

• Actively engage in identifying and resolving problems, coordinating solutions among relevant parties.

• Accurately execute end-of-day processes in line with departmental procedures.

• Report findings to management and suggest process improvements to reduce charge posting errors.

• Collaborate closely with clients, providers, and other departments to facilitate seamless charge posting processes.

• Create reports on charge corrections, highlighting trends or patterns of recurring issues.

• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external teams to address enterprise-wide challenges.

• Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve intricate charge-related issues.

• Consistently achieve predefined revenue cycle management (RCM) productivity metrics and performance standards.

• Comply with Confidentiality and HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures.

• Assist with special projects as required.

• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all posting functions and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service, accounts receivable, payment posting, and/or business office roles, preferably in a medical environment.

• Strongly preferred knowledge of basic patient accounting processes and healthcare terminology.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Ability to type accurately at a speed of 50 words per minute.

• Proficient knowledge of Athena, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Zoom.
