This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Manage virtualization environments using VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
• Oversee Windows and Linux servers, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
• Monitor capacity and performance of virtualized environments and operating systems.
• Perform provisioning, configuration, and maintenance activities for both physical and virtual servers.
• Implement fixes, updates, and security patches in the environments under your responsibility.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for incidents related to virtualization and operating systems.
• Manage clusters, hosts, virtual machines, and computational resources.
• Enforce security policies, hardening, and compliance of systems.
• Automate operational activities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Document procedures, configurations, operational standards, and technical architectures.
• Support migration, upgrade, and modernization projects for the infrastructure.
• Integrate virtualization environments with storage, backup, monitoring, and cloud platforms.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Collaborate with teams focused on networks, storage, backup, cloud, and information security.
• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in managing corporate virtualization environments.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with administration of Windows Server and Linux.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Familiarity with user management, permissions, services, and Linux operating systems.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting servers and virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, SAN/NAS storage, and high availability.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and incident management.
• Preferred: experience in critical high availability environments, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), modernization and migration projects, VMware/OpenStack, VMware HA, DRS, vMotion and Storage vMotion, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Server or SUSE Linux, PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ansible, monitoring and observability tools, Microsoft Azure or AWS, corporate backup solutions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Desired certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent, ITIL Foundation.
