This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.
• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AML/CTF programs, sanctions, and compliance programs across Slovakia and other EU jurisdictions.
• Monitor transactions and customer activities, investigate alerts and suspicious activities, and escalate suspicions as necessary.
• Conduct KYC procedures, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), customer risk assessments, verification of beneficial owners, sanctions checks, politically exposed persons (PEP) checks, and ongoing customer monitoring.
• Assist in the preparation of suspicious activity reports (SARs), suspicious transaction reports (STRs), regulatory reports, and supporting documentation.
• Support regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections, and controls, including the preparation of documentation and correspondence with regulatory authorities.
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments in the AML/CTF field and industry best practices, escalating relevant updates to the compliance team.
• Assist with risk assessments, internal audits, compliance checks, and testing of control mechanisms.
• Maintain accurate records of due diligence, investigations, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance initiatives, training, and effective implementation of regulatory requirements.
• Review compliance-related documentation in both Slovak and English, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs) in compliance.
• Fluent knowledge of Slovak.
• Proficient or near-proficient written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Required higher education.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in AML compliance (preferably including transaction monitoring, KYC, or cryptocurrencies).
• Willingness to participate in calls and meetings in the early evening in Poland, considering Canadian time zones.
• Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Google Workspace, JIRA, and Confluence tools.
• Willingness to travel to Canada for training and occasional meetings.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Standard working hours with occasional early evening meetings to support collaboration with Canadian teams.
