This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of BSA/AML, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening processes.
• Provide guidance on deposit product initiatives and collaborate with Product, Legal, Operations, Engineering, and Enterprise Risk teams.
• Create and manage BSA/AML compliance initiatives, encompassing deposit product launches, regulatory improvements, and control enhancements.
• Administer continuous CDD and EDD programs for deposit accounts, ensuring alignment with CIP, Red Flags Program, and BSA/AML procedures.
• Assess risks and typologies to formulate transaction monitoring rules and investigation protocols.
• Keep abreast of FinCEN guidance, OFAC sanctions, and FFIEC BSA/AML examination requirements, adapting controls as needed.
• Establish KRIs, KPIs, and management reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of the BSA/AML program.
• Convert regulatory mandates and risk trends into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Facilitate the resolution of findings from examinations, audits, monitoring, and testing.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, financial crimes compliance, or related Risk or Compliance roles within a bank or regulated financial institution.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing customer onboarding, identity verification, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and ongoing monitoring processes.
• Solid understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Customer Due Diligence Rule, and associated BSA/AML risks linked to deposit products.
• Experience in developing AML risk assessments, KRIs/KPIs, and management reporting while leading cross-functional compliance initiatives.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Capability to identify gaps in policies and procedures and drive their resolution.
• Familiarity with audit and exam readiness, including evidence collection, testing, monitoring, addressing findings, and responding to inquiries.
• CAMS, CAFP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting deposit products is preferred.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML tools for transaction monitoring, case management, and customer screening is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with examiners, auditors, and third parties is preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory change management is preferred.
• Ability to investigate complex compliance issues and conduct root cause analysis is preferred.
• Willingness to work across East and West coast time zones.
