This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Address and resolve challenges within accounts through customized solutions
• Develop strategic territory plans to enhance product demand and improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with territory colleagues, field teams, and home-office associates
• Evaluate market conditions, competitive landscape, territory, and cross-functional factors
• Utilize territory data and market trends to reveal local insights and aid pull-through initiatives
• Conduct impactful virtual and face-to-face customer interactions
• Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders to address complex challenges
• Provide real-time access support and coordinate with Patient Specialty Services
• Leverage digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor customer engagement
• Act as the main point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers
• Connect customers with Novartis resources to enhance patient outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited 4-year institution
• Experience in the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similar industries with extensive, geographically dispersed sales teams, or comparable complex sales environments
• Demonstrated history of consistently high performance
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to resolve customer issues
• Ethical leadership and the ability to foster compliance with company policies and legal standards
• Candidate must live within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory boundary
• Ability to travel 60–80% across a wide geography and drive or fly within the territory
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required
• For the Territory Account Specialist level: 2+ years of experience in a relevant complex sales role within the last 5 years
• For the Senior Territory Account Specialist level: 5+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years
• For the Executive Territory Account Specialist level: 10+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years
• Associate-level applicants may have limited prior sales experience or 4+ years of U.S. military leadership experience
• Ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment and communicate clinical product information
• Desirable: experience across therapeutic categories, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches
• Desirable: knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill processes, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical engagement with HCPs
